Optics

The Nexstar evolution 9.25 is most advanced GoTo telescope from Celestron. As the name suggests device features a 9.25inch objective lens that is biggest from Celestron in Evolution series and has a focal length of 2350mm. Apart from bigger aperture and higher focal length, Celestron is using its proprietary Starbright XLT multi-coating system where they use multilayer of aluminum (Al), hafnium oxide (HfO2), titanium dioxide (TiO2), silicon dioxide (SiO2), and magnesium fluoride (MgF2) for mirror and lens coating that outperforms any other coating in the market today. Better coating, big aperture, and higher focal length help the telescope to gather maximum light inside the tube that eventually results in crisp, clear images of galaxies, nebulas, planets and other celestial objects. Thanks to brass worm gears and improved motors, the user can accurately track objects as they move in the sky and can also attach their DSLR to capture images of deep sky objects.

Control your Telescope with Smartphone

Where other telescopes use a wired controller for choosing an object and pointing the scope, NexStar Evolution 9.25 uses a built in Wi-Fi to connect the telescope with smartphone or tablet and turn them into a wireless controller. Simply download the SkyPortal mobile app on your smartphone or tablet (available for both Android and iOS) and slew to best celestial objects from 120,000 object database with just one touch on your smartphone or tablet screen. Once the scope is connected with Wi-Fi, it finds users location and time after that app automatically draws the sky map of visible stars available at that location on the screen. Celestron’s trademark alignment procedure, SkyAlign is also inbuilt into the app for easily aligning your telescope. Where users simply point the telescope to three bright objects in the sky and the scope does the rest.  For those who love to control their scope in an old fashioned way, do not worry NexStar Evolution 9.25 also comes with hand controller with a database of 40,000 plus celestial objects for easily aligning and tracking celestial objects.

Rechargeable battery

Based on user review and customer experience on older Celestron model, Company has included its own built-in lithium ion phosphate rechargeable battery with Nexstar evolution 9.25 telescope. Users have reported, they were able to enjoy stargazing up to 10 hours on a single charge. The best part is, batteries also power the built in USB port that can also be used to charge another device without worrying about running out of power. Let’s say, while using SkyPortal app your smartphone runs out of power, simply connect it to device USB port and continue with your stargazing.

Other Advance Features

In addition to built in Wi-Fi and rechargeable batteries, Evolution 9.25 equipped with some advanced features that make tracking and using the scope even more simple. The device comes with StarPointer finderscope, two high-quality Plossl eyepieces of 40mm and 13mm focal length for easily locating the celestial objects (add these additional eyepieces to your collection for further deep sky observation). Telescope also comes with solid steel tripod and a dual accessories tray where users can safely keep up to seven eyepieces.
